Nine predictions on where AI is heading

As of 04.11.2026

  1. Most companies stay stuck at the chatbot stage.

Three stages: chatbot, agent, ecosystem. The lead goes to those who build the last two.

  2. AI will not replace people. It will enable them.

Small teams will do what used to take large ones.

  3. Which model you use will stop mattering.

The harness and the working ecosystem decide. One Claude or ChatGPT is enough.

  4. AI's confirmation bias will never disappear.

AI is built to fulfil your purpose, so it leans towards agreeing. Stay strict with it.

  5. German and European LLMs have no future.

Value comes from working with the right data, not from building models.

  6. SaaS is dead, unless it has connection points and a careful UX.

Software that cannot plug into an AI ecosystem gets bypassed.

  7. Browsing is dead. Long live the chat interface with voice control.

Customers will ask an assistant. Being found in AI answers is the new SEO.

  8. IT security will matter far more: most websites are easy targets.

With more agents and connections, weak sites get expensive.

  9. Innovation becomes the bottleneck of the startup boom.

If everybody can build, the question is what to build, and that is much harder.
